Ancient tradition and modern comfort - the Ballygarry Estate Hotel & Spa is one of those charming country hotels in Ireland where you never want to leave. County Kerry: Ireland straight out of a picture book
The mountains, lakes and coastline of County Kerry are the epitome of what Ireland looks like. Killarney National Park in particular is breathtakingly beautiful. This 105 square kilometer national park is located between Killarney and Kenmare. It impresses with its magnificent forests, mountains and lakes. Queen Victoria also fell in love with the area in the 19th century. The Muckross House estate, where she stayed, still exists today with all its furnishings. The Ladies View vantage point overlooking Lough Leane offers one of the most spectacular views of the Kerry countryside. Torc Waterfall, Innisfallen Island and the dramatic mountains of MacGillicuddy's Reeks are highlights of the region. The famous Ring of Kerry scenic route is also undoubtedly one of the highlights. The Wild Atlantic Way, which runs along the coast of Ireland for 2,500 kilometers, is also beautiful. The Skellig Islands at the end of this route, around 11 kilometers off the coast of Kerry, are a particular eye-catcher with their rugged beauty. On the summit of Skellig Michael, the larger of the two islands, are the ruins of an early Christian monastery.
