Gran Canaria / Meloneras
Meloneras is located near the popular towns of Maspalomas and Playa del Inglés on the south coast of Gran Canaria. The town is known for the Maspalomas Lighthouse. The lighthouse, built in the 1890s and still in operation today, is a hotspot for breathtaking sunsets. Meloneras and Maspalomas feature shopping centers and countless charming restaurants, cafés, and bars along the promenade. Just a few meters from the promenade stretches the long sandy beach, which is bordered by the Maspalomas Dunes Nature Reserve. The area consists of three ecosystems: the palm grove, the lagoon, and the dunes. Golfers will find a very attractive and exciting 18-hole course in this stunning coastal landscape, featuring well-maintained greens and fairways, excellent practice facilities, and wonderful views. The various courses—Maspalomas, Salobre, and Anfi Tauro—are just a few minutes’ drive away.

Drawing on his many years of experience as a player and coach, he combines technical expertise with mental strength and a pure passion for the sport. The Lopesan Costa Meloneras Resort & Spa is located in the south of Gran Canaria, right on the ocean in the exclusive Meloneras area. The Maspalomas Dunes Nature Reserve is nearby, as is El Faro Boulevard—a shopping district with numerous restaurants.
The resort was renovated in 2020; its facilities were modernized, and its diverse offerings were expanded to include new services. Scattered throughout the tropical gardens are four freshwater pools—two of which are heated in winter—two hydromassage pools, a children’s pool, and an artificial beach.
The hotel’s dining offerings present a new concept under the name “Gastro-Buffet Alameda”: 13 stations feature small cooking stations that serve a wide variety of dishes from different countries, featuring diverse ingredients and flavors. Guests also have access to a diverse selection of à la carte restaurants that will satisfy even the most discerning gourmets. In addition, there are numerous pool bars and other bars, some of which feature shows and live music.
The 1,136 spacious rooms (40 m²) and suites are comfortably furnished and feature marble bathrooms (some with separate showers), air conditioning, smart TVs, safes, Wi-Fi, USB ports, minibars (for a fee), and balconies or terraces. The Deluxe Rooms overlook the street or the garden. The Deluxe View Rooms face the garden or the pool. The Supreme Pool View Rooms offer a view of the pool. The Supreme Sea View rooms offer a magnificent view of the sea. The Premium Pool category features direct access from the terrace to the pool, while the Deluxe Terrace category also includes terraces with hammocks.
The hotel offers special UNIQUE by Lopesan comfort with additional services such as a reserved area by the pool and at breakfast, a VIP lounge with a selection of snacks and soft drinks, and a Nespresso coffee machine in the room, including capsule refills.
The excellent sports facilities include a tennis court, two paddle tennis courts, a shuffleboard court, a pétanque area, and a table tennis area. In addition, the resort features a free fitness center equipped with modern exercise machines.
The large spa, inspired by the island’s volcanic landscape, is a true wellness oasis with a total area of 3,500 square meters. It features a complete hydrothermal circuit with a Finnish sauna, Turkish bath, ice grotto, floating pool, relaxation rooms, a Himalayan salt grotto, an outdoor area with four different pools, and a wonderful beauty and massage center offering a wide range of treatments.
