The powder snow in southern Hokkaido has to be seen to be believed! Join us and explore one of Japan's snowiest regions, which stretches from Otaru in the north via the Niseko region to Furano.
Join us on this epic powder hunt. From Chitose Airport, head west to Rusutsu, Niseko, Moiwa and all the way to the coast at Otaru. This area of Hokkaido has the most snow on the island - pack your snorkel!
If you want to find the best conditions every day, our guides will show you the way and take you deeper into the snow than you can imagine. All our guides have years of experience in finding the best terrain without losing sight of safety. This is the true "Japow" experience.
After arriving in Tokyo, we recommend taking the domestic flight to Chitose. You will be picked up from Chitose Airport and driven to Niseko. Great tree skiing and dry powder snow await you there.
In Niseko, we head straight through the gates into the backcountry and to the birthplace of the Japanese powder snow revolution. From there we continue to Rusutsu to enjoy the trees, deep snow and sea views. The next stop is Moiwa. This small ski resort has it all, with easy access to the backcountry and really deep snow in the back bowls.
Throughout the tour, guides and hosts will make sure you get the most out of your ski vacation. After skiing, they will take you to some of the best local restaurants and bars in Niseko and Otaru. You can also relax in front of the fireplace and eat at home, enjoy a soak in the local onsen (hot spring) or just hang out with your new friends.
Next stop is Otaru, where you will spend the next two nights. On the way there we visit Kiroro - and yes, the powder there is as deep as everyone says it is. If we need a break or the weather doesn't cooperate, we'll head to Yoichi Whiskey Distillery, take a dip in a natural onsen, try some delicious local sushi and recharge our batteries.
From Otaru, you can also ride the backcountry of Kokusai and Teine, which is known for its steep terrain and breathtaking views of the water.
Our final stop is Furano, which is again further inland. From here we have a large number of options of small resorts with fantastic backcountry. In Asahidake you ski on a volcano through "Alpine Bowls" with deep powder snow. The areas all have their own special charm.
Our adventure is over too quickly and we are taken to New Chitose Airport. From here you can fly back to Tokyo.
Our Japan ski tours are designed for anyone who enjoys skiing or snowboarding, wants to travel with like-minded people and get the most out of their ski vacation.
