A real highlight! The Black Mountain Golf Club, opened in 2007 and designed by Phil Ryan, was built in a lush jungle landscape and pineapple plantations. It is located in a valley near the Black Mountains around 12 kilometers west of Hua Hin. The black rocks of the mountains, which provide a beautiful backdrop to some of the fairways, also give the course its name. In 2012, Golf Digest listed it among the top 100 courses outside the USA. The course has already hosted the Thailand Classic, a tournament of the European PGA Tour. The existing 9-hole North and East courses were joined by a West Course at the end of 2016, meaning the course now has 27 holes.
