Golf course information
The golf course at the Country Club of Hilton Head was opened in 1986 and designed by Rees Jones. It was chosen as the local qualifying venue for the US Open in 1999 and 2005. The challenging but fair layout includes 14 doglegs, water on almost every hole and partial views of the Intracoastal Waterway. Players traverse a stately pine forest, saltwater marshes and freshwater lagoons. The course is located on historic **Skull Creek** and features the highest point on Hilton Head Island. The views from this 12th hole are unparalleled.
