Founded in 1973, Donegal Golf Club is located on the Murvagh peninsula in Donegal Bay, 3 miles south of Donegal Town. It is therefore also known to many as Murvagh. The course was originally designed by Eddie Hackett, a legend of Irish golf architecture. It is often referred to as the %22Muirfield of Ireland%22. It is one of the longest golf courses in Europe. From the championship tees, it measures a massive 7,453 yards. The panoramic views of Donegal Bay and the surrounding countryside are sensational. A round on one of Darren Clarke's %22 "favorite courses" is an unforgettable golfing experience.
