The Palmer South Course is a links course that perfectly integrates dunes and dramatic cliffs. The Champions Course has been the scene of some of golf's most exciting moments. At the 2004 Smurfit European Open, Retief Goosen claimed victory just two weeks after winning his second US Open title. At the 2007 Smurfit European Open, Colin Montgomerie ended his 18-month drought without a trophy when he won the tournament by just one shot.
