The Fuerteventura golf course, designed by Juan Catarineu, is the oldest 18-hole golf course on Fuerteventura. In 2004 it was the venue for the **Open de España**. The course is part of the Elba Palace Golf & Vital Hotel. The round offers wonderful views of the Atlantic. Many bunkers and natural obstacles make the game interesting. On holes 1 to 10 you play towards the sea, then you return to the starting point. The round takes you past three lakes, which are connected by a small stream. The fairways are up to 50 meters wide, the 67 bunkers are well integrated into the course design and the greens are comparatively large.
