What a unique course! The Ghala Valley Golf Club is the oldest golf course in Oman. The private club is normally reserved for members of the club. However, guests are also welcome on request. The course, designed by Briton Bill Logmuir, is located in a deeply incised wadi. The dry river valley naturally dictates the course of the par 72 course. The individual holes offer breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains and the sea. The 18-hole course was initially built as a sand course in 1971. In 2010, the first nine holes were added on grass, and two years later the entire 18-hole course was converted to grass.
