The Heritage Golf Club Mauritius has announced a new links golf course. With breathtaking panoramic sea views, La Réserve Golf Links in Bel Ombre is set to impress. The course is set to become the %22st modern links golf course in the Indian Ocean%22. The course is being built in the southwest of Mauritius. It is being co-designed by professional golfer Louis Oosthuizen. The plan is for a hilly course with elevated tees, flowing fairways and challenging bunkers. The course is located on former sugar cane fields right next to a UNESCO biosphere reserve, which is home to many birds and wild animals. The sustainably designed 18-hole tournament course will expand the Le Château Golf Course, which has repeatedly been voted the best golf course in the Indian Ocean in the past, and will be the new venue for the DP World Tour's AfrAsia Bank Mauritius Open from 2023. It will be available exclusively to club members and residents of the two luxury beach resorts and the Heritage Golf Club residences.
