The impressive 18-hole golf course at the foot of Mount Etna is the most traditional course in Sicily. The golf course at Il Picciolo Golf Club was designed by Luigi Rota Caremoli in 1989. The spectacular course with its holes carved into the characteristic lava rock of Mount Etna stretches over a length of 5,870 meters in a beautiful hilly landscape with views of the volcano and the east coast of Sicily near Taormina. The course has hosted five Open tournaments - including the Sicilian Ladies Italian Open and the European Senior Open.
