Le Touquet Golf Club offers you two completely different golfing experiences. Similar to the Scottish links courses, the 18-hole La Mer course is beautifully integrated into the wild dunes. The course hosted the French Open in the mid-1970s, but golf has been played here for much longer. The course, designed by Harry Colt, was opened in 1931. The sometimes very hilly surface and some water hazards make for a challenging level of difficulty. Things are a little more relaxed on the even older La Forêt course. The fairways of the flat links/woodland course, which has been around since 1904, lie in the shade of old pine trees. The course is completed by the nine holes of the Le Manoir course. This links/woodland course is the easiest of the trio to play, although it is not without its hills and water hazards.
