Our verdict:

Golf Club Budersand Sylt offers real links golf against a spectacular natural backdrop. The course, designed by Rolf-Stephan Hansen, was opened in 2008 and is now one of the best golf courses in Europe. The 18 holes are harmoniously embedded in the dune landscape and offer an incomparable game between the North Sea and the Wadden Sea. The wind, the deep pot bunkers and the fast, undulating fairways in particular provide a sporting challenge that demands precision.
The signature holes include the first hole, which gives a foretaste of the challenges ahead with a downhill tee shot and a green protected by dunes. The par-3 holes 13 and 15 are also real highlights: they are embedded in the dunes and offer a special experience not only in terms of play, but also in terms of scenery. The last three holes are crossed by a stream and are reminiscent of famous Scottish courses.
Budersand is a golf course for connoisseurs and ambitious golfers alike. The tranquillity, the vastness and the proximity to the sea make every round a special experience. Golf at its finest!
