Golf course information
The Stellenbosch Golf Club is a must-play in the Cape region. The historic course celebrated its centenary in 2004. The fourth oldest golf club in South Africa was redesigned in 1953 from a 9-hole golf course to today's 18-hole championship course. The course in the heart of the wine-growing region with its beautiful old trees has been the venue for South Africa's most prestigious golf tournaments. The South African Open took place here in 1999 and South African Masters tournaments have been held here five times. The course is situated at the foot of the majestic Helderberg Mountains on the outskirts of Stellenbosch.
