The Tournament Players Club (TPC) Myrtle Beach was designed by the famous US golf course architect Tom Fazio and opened in February 1999. Many of the most prestigious golf magazines declared the course a classic as soon as it opened. The prestige of the TPC brand means that golfers can expect an exceptional experience. The course hosted the 2000 Senior PGA Tour Championship, won by Tom Watson, and remains the only golf course in the area to be awarded 5 stars by Golf Digest Magazine.
