On July 7, TRAVELZONE ended the 2022/23 ski season. That was the last time Kenny Prevost skied in Alaska in the past season! Or was it rather a very early opening of the 2023/24 season?
Great start to the season
Either way, now it's summer and time to look ahead to the next season and take a look back at the past winter of incredible snow adventures! Our first guests traveled to Canada at the beginning of December and there was plenty of snow just in time. The conditions in Canada were challenging and yet the majority of our guests were able to enjoy unforgettable days with our various partners.
The only thing we can't influence is the weather
It is pointless to discuss when and where more snow falls, where the wind affects skiing more or less and where the cloud cover is thinner or thicker. Skiing and snowboarding take place outdoors. And - fortunately - we can't influence the weather.
In Iceland, for example, we had enough snow in the second half of March, but an arctic storm swept across the island. And in Turkey, fog descended on the valley for the first time in many years! Only in Alaska was it "business as usual" with fantastic conditions from February to the end of May.

Even we are powerless against capricious weather. But otherwise, we at TRAVELZONE do everything we can to provide skiers and snowboarders with incredible powder experiences.
