East Greenland Heliski Expedition

Discover the heliskiing insider tip of Europe

East Greenland is one of the least explored regions in the world. Unnamed runs lead over glaciated peaks through breathtaking terrain down to the iceberg-filled fjords. The terrain selection is just as good as in better-known heliski destinations - look forward to couloirs, steep slopes and spectacular descents with 360-degree views.
Sometimes we cross paths with polar bears. But don't worry! Our guides know what they are doing in this white wilderness. Heliskiing here is a real adventure for skiers who have already experienced a lot on skis.
Highlights include exploring new runs with fascinating views of the ice fields, icebergs and fjords. And, of course, \"Peak to Sea** runs
Deep snow skiing is possible until the end of March and often beyond. Spring weather in East Greenland is generally characterized by high-pressure areas with blue skies, light winds and temperatures between -10 °C and -3 °C. But colder temperatures and snowstorms are still possible.
In late spring we ski on firn snow, but we are still looking for powder snow on the north-facing slopes. The snowpack on the coast here is abundant and usually well consolidated with good stability.
On the days when we are not skiing (on average about one day a week, as in most heliskiing destinations), we organize traditional dog sledding or fishing trips with Greenlandic guides. These are often just as impressive experiences as skiing.

Our verdict on Greenland
Every experienced heliskier should have been to Greenland once in their life. The pristine mountain landscape and descents from the peaks to the sea are overwhelming. From a powder dream. From powder dreams to steep slopes and magnificent firn slopes, everything is on offer. In addition, there is contact with the fascinating culture and way of life of the locals.
