Golfing is a real pleasure here: the 4-star Golf du Médoc resort with its two 18-hole golf courses is only a 30-minute drive from the center of Bordeaux. It is located in close proximity to world-famous Grand Crus - perfect for a wine tasting in a chateau in the Médoc sub-region, one of the best and most famous red wine regions in the world.
Bordeaux and the surrounding area
Bordeaux is a university city and the political, economic and intellectual center of the French southwest. The city is famous not only for its Bordeaux wine and excellent cuisine, but also for its architectural and cultural heritage, which is truly breathtaking. The old town, including the magnificent riverside, has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 2007. Since June 2016, Bordeaux has boasted a contemporary monument dedicated solely to wine, which is worth a visit in itself: the wine museum **La Cité du Vin**. A truly iconic architecture where every detail is reminiscent of liquid, of knotted vines, of wine swirling in a glass. This wine museum gives you both a local and international view of the world's wine regions and their specialties.
The area around Bordeaux and the Médoc sub-region, where we are staying, has outstanding vineyards and iconic châteaux (**Châteaux**) with numerous excellent restaurants. Winegrowing families live and work here, cultivating centuries-old traditions, as well as wine merchants and winegrowing specialists who have brought the science and love of wine to the world. For example, the Médoc is home to the famous Château Margaux and Château Mouton Rothschild wineries, whose bottle prices often exceed €1,000, depending on the vintage.

Located right next to the two golf courses, a hotel with 79 rooms and suites with state-of-the-art facilities awaits you. The resort is characterized by a mixture of down-to-earthness and inspiration: no superfluous frills, but details that make life easier for golfers and connoisseurs. This starts in the room, where the checkroom and luggage rack are not standard, but tailored to golf-specific needs.
In the hotel restaurant, you can expect gourmet cuisine that skillfully showcases regional products. As a special feature, there is a humidor-like wine cabinet set into a side wall of the dining room, where the Premier Crus and Grand Grand Crus are displayed. Guests choose their menu at the table and then select the appropriate wine. The sommelier supports them with his expertise.
In the adjacent Vinothèque, you can round off your day's golfing with a large selection of Médoc wines.
The Clubhouse is an ideal place to relax before or after a round of golf, with a view of the 18th hole. Small snacks and meals are served here throughout the day. The large terrace offers a magnificent view of the golf course.
