Normally, two helicopters serve a maximum of three groups at Skeena Heliskiing. With only four guests and one guide per group, flexibility and service are paramount. If you want something even more exclusive, book the Private Helicopter Package. Or would you prefer the entire lodge? Private Lodge Buyout with Unlimited Vertical is the name of the program, which allows up to twelve people to spend a week completely on their own.
The Bear Claw Lodge itself is one of the highlights of Skeena Heliskiing. The luxury accommodation is located on the banks of the Kispiox River and is the perfect base for trips to the magnificent freeride terrain. Especially as the helipad is right on the doorstep. There are just six minutes between boarding the helicopter and the first run in the morning.

When it comes to freeriding, Skeena Heliskiing focuses above all on quality. As you can usually enjoy unlimited vertical meters, only travel in small groups and two helicopters are on duty for the skiers and snowboarders, you always ski the best possible slopes. Bear Claw Lodge is a remote but luxurious retreat in the Skeena Mountains. It has room for just twelve guests. And since you are allowed to move freely around almost the entire house, you will feel almost at home during your stay.
You stay in one of eight charmingly designed guest rooms. Skeena Heliskiing has opted for local influences for the furnishings. Artists from the Gitxsan First Nation, on whose land the lodge is located, have designed the beds and furniture, bed linen and artwork by hand.
In the main room of Bear Claw Lodge, the massive fireplace immediately catches the eye. Opposite, huge panoramic windows offer a view of the picturesque surrounding nature, and at mealtimes guests meet at large communal tables where first-class dishes are served. The chefs prepare the meals in an open kitchen. They also have an open ear for you if you want to chat about the highlights of the day over a glass of wine.
The facilities at Bear Claw Lodge include a library in the attic, which is not only an inviting place to read and relax, but is also the perfect place for a soothing massage. For a dip in the whirlpool, head down to the basement. A pool table, a table football table and a dartboard complete the entertainment options there.

Skeena is very easy to reach. It is only a short domestic flight from Vancouver to Smithers. A shuttle bus will pick you up there and take you to Bear Claw Lodge. The journey takes around two hours. Good for planning: the route does not cross any avalanche passes, so there are no unforeseen stops. Alternatively, the Skeena Heliskiing team can also organize a helicopter transfer from Smithers. Departure via the stations mentioned is just as relaxed.
