The Arapahoe Basin ski area, often referred to as "A-Basin", is located near Keystone, around 30 minutes by car from Breckenridge. It is known for its challenging runs and long ski season. The area is particularly popular with strong skiers as it offers steep slopes and often deep snow. However, there are also runs for beginners and less experienced skiers. The ski area stretches over several peaks and offers breathtaking views of the surrounding mountain landscape. With an elevation of over 3,800 meters, Arapahoe Basin often offers excellent snow conditions and allows for a long ski season until late spring.
