Charming ski-in ski-out village in the middle of the top ski resort
"Small but beautiful. You can still find untracked powder snow here several days after the last snowfall," enthuses our Canada expert Tamara Mayer. Tamara's insider tip: "The steep gladed terrain in the woods at the back of the mountain around Putnam Creek." Silverstar is a charming village in the middle of the ski area. Virtually all accommodation is in a ski-in ski-out location. The village with its colorful wooden houses is located about 20 minutes from Vernon and only an hour's drive from Kelowna Airport. Silverstar offers dry champagne powder and hardly any waiting times at the lifts - even on weekends. While the front side around Vance Creek offers open terrain and well-groomed slopes for all skiers, the back side around Putnam Creek is more suitable for experienced skiers.
