Alta is cult! The ski resort is located around 45 km south-east of Salt Lake City and is known for its legendary powder snow. The ski area covers an area of around 245 hectares and offers a varied topography with steep slopes, deep gorges and tree-lined pistes. Alta is one of the most snow-sure ski resorts in North America. As a result, Alta is a mecca for skiers and snowboarders looking for challenging runs. The ski resort has a large number of steep and challenging slopes that will delight advanced skiers. Snowboarders are not allowed in Alta.
