The Deer Valley ski area covers an area of around 2,026 hectares and offers a varied landscape with beautiful alpine forests, steep slopes and wide open runs. The ski resort places great emphasis on guest satisfaction and therefore only offers a limited number of day passes to control the number of skiers on the slopes and ensure an exclusive experience. As a result, the slopes are generally less crowded and offer optimal conditions for skiers of all abilities. The ski area has 101 marked runs, ranging from gentle beginner slopes to challenging steep slopes. There are also special areas for freestyle skiers and snowboarders, including terrain parks with varying degrees of difficulty and halfpipes. Deer Valley was the venue for the 2002 Winter Olympics.
