Small group heli-skiing with fly-in lodge in Canada's wilderness

Extensive glaciers, outstanding forest runs and open slopes: the terrain mix in the northern Selkirks leaves nothing to be desired for skiers and snowboarders. In small groups of a maximum of four people plus a guide, you will explore some of CMH's most beautiful terrain. This is great for connoisseurs - and simply perfect for anyone who wants to speed up their heliskiing in Canada. Read more.

At CMH Adamants, eight groups share two small Bell 407 helicopters. They take you skiing or snowboarding in a fantastic mountain world with steep slopes and deep valleys on the day of your arrival. So you spend as much time as possible in the powder. And there is plenty of it in the snow-sure Selkirks - down days, on the other hand, hardly any. This is a strong argument, especially for guests with a long journey from Europe.
Another is the great, cosy lodge far away from civilization. When you can't see any other roofs from your own room, when you can't even spot any roads or electricity pylons from the helicopter, it adds a very special flair to the heliskiing adventure.

Our verdict on Adamants Lodge
Adamants Lodge is a real gem in the wide range of heliskiing products offered by world market leader CMH. Even the 30-minute flight over rugged peaks and untouched forests leaves an impression, and the lodge itself offers every comfort in the middle of Canada's wilderness. However, it's the magnificent descents that make the offer so convincing. You can look forward to numerous long runs on which you can collect massive vertical meters, whether powdering on open glaciers or tree skiing between the trees. Thanks to the small groups, the guests' skiing skills can be finely tuned to each other. Our conclusion: cruisers and freeriders alike get their money's worth here! If you are looking for variety and have your equipment under control, CMH Adamants is the right place for you.

LODGE DESCRIPTION

Its location is one of the great advantages of the Adamants Lodge. Designed for a maximum of 32 guests, the accommodation is perched high up on a plateau, surrounded by four valleys and in absolute seclusion. As a fly-in lodge, you can only reach it by helicopter in winter. After a day of heliskiing, treat yourself to a drink in the lounge area with bar or a soothing massage. If you still have energy reserves, try out the in-house climbing wall or the training equipment.

ARRIVAL AND DEPARTURE

Travel from Kelowna from the 2022/23 season onwards. We recommend an overnight stay at the Four Points by Sheraton Hotel. After a short night, you start at 5:30 am with the shuttle bus. Thanks to the time difference, getting up early is usually not a problem.

You reach the helipad after a good four hours. By then, the wonderful drive through the Columbia Mountains and through the small town of Revelstoke will have sweetened your journey - at least after sunrise.

The helicopter is already waiting at the helipad to take you to the lodge within 10 minutes. There you first check into your room and then complete the obligatory safety training. After lunch, you'll be on your skis or board.

On the day of departure you will no longer be powdering, but you can fly back to Europe on the same day (not before 5.30 p.m.). However, we recommend that you plan an overnight stay in Vancouver. If the weather doesn't cooperate and the return journey is delayed, you may otherwise miss your flight.

Destination airport for intercontinental flight: Vancouver or Calgary

Next airport: Kelowna

Transfer: Shuttle bus and helicopter

Transfer time: 4 hours from Kelowna to Adamants Helipad (Goldstream Road)
1.5 hours from Revelstoke to Adamants Helipad (Goldstream Road)
