Founded by two Swiss nationals, White Wilderness Heliskiing initially set itself apart from many of its competitors with its first-class service, beautiful heliski lodge and outstanding cuisine. At the beginning of 2020, the company from near Terrace then snapped up a "fillet piece" from Northern Escape Heli Skiing: a valuable addition to its heliskiing area. The additional terrain elevates heliskiing and heliboarding at White Wilderness. Read more.
The area of White Wilderness Heliskiing is called "Ganeeks Laxha" - the stairway to heaven - by the indigenous people living in the region, the Tsimishan First Nations. But you won't be going quite that far up after all. However, the beautiful mix of alpine and forest runs in the snow-covered Skeena Mountains is sure to provide you with a heavenly run or two.

Our verdict on White Wilderness Heliskiing
White Wilderness Heliskiing is one of the newcomers in the heliskiing industry. Right from the start, the Swiss founders Marcel Schneider and Martin Jäger focused on a top hotel business, but now - and especially thanks to the expansion of the terrain - the freeriding also meets high standards. After all, the Skeena Mountains are one of the heliskiing hotspots in British Columbia. Thanks to unlimited vertical meters and flying in small groups, you can get the most out of your heliski trip. Another plus point is the quick accessibility. Our conclusion: Heliskiing vacations at White Wilderness Heliskiing are a pleasure on all levels.

The lodge, built with a façade of massive tree trunks on the Skeena River, is one of the most beautiful heliski lodges anywhere. While the appearance inside remains pleasantly rustic, the amenities are absolutely contemporary. The attentive service in particular is in a class of its own. In the log cabins with modern bathrooms around the main building, guests sleep in queen-size beds, while a wood-burning stove provides pleasant warmth. The new single rooms in the lodge itself provide direct access to the spa and fitness area. Culinary delights for winter sports enthusiasts are not only in line with North American standards at gourmet level. Thanks to the "farm to table" concept, many of the fresh ingredients come from a local farm.
