After extensive renovation work, the Onyria Quinta Da Marinha Hotel presents itself in new splendor. The 4-star hotel right on the golf course offers great value for money. It is not far from Lisbon, but Portugal's capital is by no means the only excursion option nearby. The beautiful Sintra or Cascais with its many restaurants can be reached within 20 minutes. Even shorter is the journey to the great golf courses in the region.
The most beautiful corners of Lisbon
Portugal's capital is one of the most charming cities in Europe. Its eventful history has left its mark all over the city. There is therefore so much to discover in this city on the Atlantic. Founded by the Phoenicians, the city was first occupied by the Romans before falling to the Moors in 711. It then came under Christian rule again in 1147. In 1256, it became the capital of the Kingdom of Portugal. Anyone who has ever visited the city will undoubtedly agree: Lisbon is the pearl of Portugal.
The Estoril golf coast, with its long sandy beaches and seven excellent golf courses, is no less beautiful, although of course very different. The top courses include Oitavos Dunes Course, Quinta da Marinha and Penha Longha. The Portuguese coast is a dream for us golfers, not least because of the perfect golfing climate all year round. The Estoril Coast is also home to Europe's largest casino and various sights. These include the village of Sintra with its centuries-old palaces, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, the Farol de Guia lighthouse and the Boca do Inferno, a cliff undercut by the sea.
