Turkey is also a great destination for heliskiers and heliboarders. In the north-east of the country, the East Pontic Mountains beckon with magnificent descents above the tree line, with peaks just below 4,000 meters, with plenty of snow and with views as far as the Black Sea. With Turkey Heliskiing, you can experience this exotic and outstanding heliskiing destination in small and private groups - and with Swiss precision: many of the heliski guides and all of the helicopter pilots are from Switzerland.
The helicopters are from Wucher Helikopter in Austria. The pilots and guides from Turkey Heliskiing know countless landing points in their 4,500 square kilometer area. They often drop the groups off a little further apart so that there is even more space for powder skiing. So you can really let off steam in the dozens of high valleys around Kaçkar Dağı. At 3,937 meters, it is the highest mountain in the East Pontic Mountains. Good and very good skiers will especially love the steep and narrow gullies, which are reminiscent of the couloirs in Alaska. The first runs are only five minutes away from the hotel.
The journey is quick and easy via Istanbul and Trabzon. A family-run hotel, extremely helpful staff and warm hospitality await you in Ayder. And a real freeride adventure. Where else can you powder not only between peaks and ridges, but also between the houses of abandoned villages? The roofs that peek out of the masses of snow are perfect for jumps and stunts.

Our summary of Turkey Heliski
Powder skiing between dramatic peaks, deserted villages and the Black Sea on the horizon - Turkey Heliskiing promises fantastic freeriding without a big time difference and jet lag. Guests ski in small or private groups in fantastic high alpine terrain. The highly trained guides come from Switzerland and other Alpine countries, the pilots from Switzerland and the helicopters from AIR Zermatt. The hotel may not be able to compete with the luxury of North American lodges, but it meets all the requirements for a great week of heliskiing and scores points for its friendly service. Our conclusion: Turkey Heliskiing turns the summer destination of Turkey into a top destination for winter sports enthusiasts! Oh yes, don't be surprised if you are woken up in the morning by the ritual singing of the muezzin from the nearby minaret!
