Small-group heliskiing between Iceland's volcanoes and fjords

Excellent alpine terrain, descents down to the Atlantic Ocean, skiing and snowboarding well into the summer and mystical natural phenomena: heliskiing in Iceland is something very special in many respects. Viking Heliskiing Iceland has secured a fantastic area on the Troll Peninsula. Just a few hours' flight from Western Europe, a unique mountain world with volcanoes and fjords awaits you - without any jet lag! Read more.

At Viking Heliskiing, you can powder or ski on slopes that rise directly out of the Arctic Ocean. Just below the Arctic Circle, the stable snow cover also makes extremely steep runs possible. They may start below 1,550 meters, but as some of them reach down to sea level, you'll gain plenty of vertical meters.

Viking Heliskiing flies in small groups of a maximum of four people. In the Classic program you are charged according to altitude, in the private program you can fly unlimited. A trip to Viking Heliskiing becomes completely overwhelming from the beginning of May. Then you can carve your turns in glorious firn snow while the midnight sun shines above you. Its soft light allows heliskiing late into the evening - a magical experience in the land of fairies and trolls.

SPECIALS
  • Ski touring program: The Troll Peninsula offers endless possibilities for ski touring, where you can ski from mountain peaks to the Arctic Ocean. For ski touring, there are few places in the world with as many options as the Troll Peninsula in Iceland. The area is huge and largely unexplored. The terrain offers many different options, from steep couloirs to moderate slopes for enjoyable cruising. In any case, you should always expect different skiing conditions: In Iceland, there is sometimes fresh powder snow within a single run, stable spring firn that is perfect for steep runs that are almost impossible elsewhere, to soft snow on the coast. The differences in altitude in the impressive Arctic mountains are up to 1,500 meters.
  • Fusion program: If you are looking for a combination of ski touring and heliskiing, this is the program for you. A helicopter flight in the morning and a helicopter flight in the afternoon **spice up** the touring a little - and save you long distances. This saves you energy for even more fun and two additional descents.
  • Tailor-made program: Heliskiing could hardly be more exclusive. You put this trip together entirely according to your own ideas. Would you like to explore Iceland's most extraordinary freeride slopes with your family or friends? Would you like to include ski tours - with or without heli-support - in the package? TRAVELZONE makes your ideas of the perfect heliskiing vacation come true together with Viking Heliskiing.
  • Heli-golf week: From May 25 to June 1, 2021, you can combine your two favorite sports with TRAVELZONE in Iceland. Skiing and golfing in one day! In the early afternoon, it's off to the golf courses around Siglufjordur, Dalvik and Aykureri for 18 holes. This is followed by dinner - but without alcohol. Because a little later we're off heliskiing under the midnight sun! The program is rounded off with jet skiing - in a wetsuit, of course - or a relaxing jacuzzi time in the Beer Spa restaurant. This is a combination of bar, brewery, restaurant and spa with hot tub - a cult address in Iceland!
