A challenging ski area just a few meters away, your own heli pad just a few steps away - and almost unrivalled comfort: Bison Lodge Revelstoke is one of the most luxurious addresses in the town, which is known among winter sports enthusiasts above all for heliskiing and its wild freeride scene. Read more.
If you look out of the window of the impressive Bison Lodge with its wood and stone façade, you have to look far up to see the top of the ski mountain. Nowhere else in North America is there a resort with a greater difference in altitude between the summit and the base. The Revelstoke Mountain Resort is more than 1,700 meters high. And thanks to ski-in ski-out and the gondola nearby, getting to the Lodge ski area is extremely convenient. Even closer to the front door, however, is the private heli-pad. This offers great conditions for various heli-skiing arrangements, for which Revelstoke is one of the very best places in the world to go. TRAVELZONE combines the Bison Lodge with the best heliski providers for you.
First-class cuisine
After a day in the powder, you can meet up at the hotel's fireplace for après-ski. Later, Jean-Philippe Bedard prepares delicious meals. The chef gained experience in Canada, France and Australia and has been working full-time at the Bison Lodge since 2016. As an excellent wine connoisseur, he can also recommend the perfect wines from the Okanagan region to accompany dinner. The in-house bar also has something for beer lovers. If you make yourself comfortable in the lodge's ultra-modern screening room, popcorn is even served with your drink.

Our verdict on Bison Lodge
Fantastic powder, countless runs and playful terrain with pillow lines and cliffs make Selkirk Tangiers Heli Skiing one of the top addresses for heli skiing in Canada. The area borders the Glacier National Park, among others. This provides access to fantastic glacier runs against a fantastic mountain backdrop. High alpine descents and tree skiing with open glades are equally outstanding. And thanks to its proximity to Revelstoke Mountain Resort, you can ski in excellent terrain even when the helicopters have to stay on the ground. Our conclusion: Classic programs from Selkirk Tangiers offer very good, small group and private packages offer almost unbeatable heliskiing.
