At Viking Heliskiing, you can powder or ski on slopes that rise directly out of the Arctic Ocean. Just below the Arctic Circle, the stable snow cover also makes extremely steep runs possible. They may start below 1,550 meters, but as some of them reach down to sea level, you'll gain plenty of vertical meters.
Viking Heliskiing flies in small groups of a maximum of four people. In the Classic program you are charged according to altitude, in the private program you can fly unlimited. Additional costs:
You will fly via Keflavik International Airport near Reykjavik to Akureyri, from where you will be taken to the hotel by shuttle. A helicopter transfer can also be organized on request. After check-in, there will be a short get-together with the other guests and the guides, followed by dinner together. The following day begins with a safety briefing - then it's off into the snow.
The return journey is again via Akureyri. Here, too, you have the option of being taken to the airport by bus or helicopter.
