1.Tag | 12:00 h Abfahrt in Pretoria. Der Zug fährt Richtung Nordwesten nach Sun City, in den Hügeln des Pilanesbergs. Während der Fahrt geniesst Du die köstlichen Mahlzeiten, die Annehmlichkeiten des Zuges und die Schönheit dieses Naturreservates. |
2.Tag | In Sun City erwartet Dich das erste Golf-Highlight dieser Reise: Der Gary Player Course bietet Golfvergnügen für alle Golfer mit faszinierenden Aussichten. Dieses makellose Golfparadies, das im Krater eines erloschenen Vulkans entstand, ist Austragungsort der jährlichen Nedbank Golf Challenge, bei der einige der grössten Golflegenden der Welt spielen. Der ebenfalls von Gary Player designte Lost City Cours-Platz wartet mit breiten Fairways und einer ganzen Reihe von Seen auf dich, die auch die neunte Spielbahn von der 18. Trennen. Die grosse Besonderheit des Platzes ist zweifellos sein Signature Hole: Das 13. Loch ist ein Par 3 in der Form des afrikanischen Kontinents. Es von einem Teich begrenzt, in dem mehrere grosse Krokodile leben! |
3.Tag | Der Zug erklimmt den Majuba Hill. Dieser war Schauplatz der entscheidenden Schlacht, die den ersten Englischen Burenkrieg beendete. Danach passiert der Zug Newcastle, wo sich der angeblich grösste Hindu-Tempel der südlichen Hemisphäre mit einer Zellkuppel befindet, und Glencoe, was Schauplatz der ersten Schlacht des Anglo-Burenkrieges war und heute das Zentrum der Kohlefelder der Provinz ist. |
4.Tag | Am Fusse der Drakensberge spielst Du den Kurs des Champagne Sports Resorts, der als einer der landschaftlich schönsten Golfplätze Südafrikas bezeichnet wird. |
5.Tag | In Durban stehen der Durban Country Club oder der Durban Beachwood Club auf dem Programm. Der Durban Country Club zeichnet sich aus durch üppige Vegetation, hügeligen Fairways, Sanddünen und die wunderschöne Lage mit Blick auf den Indischen Ozean. Das Signature Hole ist das Loch 3. Die Par -Bahn beginnt mit einem Abschlag vom höchsten Punkt des Platzes in ein darunter liegendes Tal. Der Durban Beachwood Club wurde 1930 von Sid & Jack Brews entworfen und ist seit jeher für seine schmalen Fairways und den einheimischen Baumbestand berühmt. In den späten 1990er Jahren wurde das Designteam von Gary Player gebeten, einige der Löcher neu zu gestalten und gleichzeitig zusätzliche Hindernisse einzubauen. Das Ergebnis kann sich sehen lassen: Jetzt wartet der Platz auch mit raffinierten Bunkern, geschickt platzierten Wasserhindernissen und hervorragenden Grüns auf. |

7. Tag | Fantastische Golfrunde auf den Royal Swazi Golf Club. Der spektakuläre Course ist einer der landschaftlich reizvollsten Plätze der Welt. Die ersten neun Löcher sind relativ eben, die zweiten neun nutzen das bergige Terrain voll aus. Zu den herausfordernden Merkmalen gehören Seen, Schluchten mit dichter Vegetation und raffiniert platzierte Bunker - einer ist so steil, dass er nur über Stufen zu erreichen ist. |
8. Tag | Der Platz repräsentiert afrikanisches Golf vom Feinsten mit einheimischem Buschland, das die makellosen Fairways und Grüns säumt. Der Course ist auf natürliche Weise vor Tieren geschützt, während Seen und kleine Bäche, sich durch die Anlage schlängeln, sorgen malerische Ausblicke auf den Kruger Nationalpark für eine Golferlebnis der Superklasse. |
