The new Hidden Coves Course offers an additional golfing highlight set in spectacular scenery between the desert and the Red Sea. ROBINSON Soma Bay combines sports, the beach, and laid-back comfort, offering the ideal setting for a relaxing golf vacation. It’s the perfect way to kick off the golf season under the southern sun.
Egypt: Between the Mystical Desert and the Colorful Underwater World
Golden sandy beaches, turquoise waters, and a perfect climate—Soma Bay is one of the most attractive vacation destinations on the Red Sea. This is not a city, but rather a stretch of desert along one of the most beautiful natural bays of the Egyptian Red Sea. The region is perfect for active travelers. Divers, snorkelers, and kitesurfers will find just as much to enjoy here as golfers. Other leisure activities include a shopping trip through the mall at the marina.
Soma Bay is not too far from some of Egypt’s most famous sights. Guests can journey deep into the land of the pharaohs, from Cairo to the ancient city of Luxor, or explore Egypt’s wild side on a safari to one of the nearby destinations.

The Robinson Soma Bay is located directly on the Red Sea and combines a spacious club atmosphere with plenty of sports, beach activities, and a relaxed vacation vibe. The resort spans approximately 120,000 m² and features 348 rooms, several restaurants and bars, as well as direct access to one of the region’s most beautiful bays. Arabic-inspired architecture, well-maintained gardens, and its location between the sea and the desert give the resort a pleasantly spacious character.
After a day on the golf course, by the water, or relaxing on the beach, the club offers many ways to wind down in the evening. Options include a main restaurant with a terrace, a beach restaurant, specialty restaurants, a beach bar, a sundowner bar, and a chill-out lounge. For active guests, water sports, diving, tennis, padel, fitness, the WellFit® Spa, and the nearby 18-hole Gary Player golf course are major highlights. Wir spielen als Highlight und Krönung unserer erlebnisreichen Silvester-Golfreise am letzten Tag ein Abschlussturnier im Stableford-Format. Das Turnier ist nicht vorgabewirksam und die Teilnahme ist kostenlos. Grundsätzlich kannst Du vor Ort völlig individuell entscheiden, ob Du das Turnier mitspielen möchtest. Aber eine kleine sportliche Herausforderung am letzten Tag macht einfach viel Spaß und unterstreicht den sportlichen Aspekt dieser wunderschönen Reise. In der Vergangenheit haben sich deshalb die meisten Gäste — wenig überraschend — dieses Vergnügen nicht entgehen lassen. Neben Ruhm und Ehre für die Sieger spielen wir auch noch kleine Erinnerungspreise aus. Diese werden bei unserem Farewell Dinner am letzten Abend im Rahmen der Siegerehrung an die verdienten Gewinner überreicht.
