And all this in the deep snow of the Skeena Mountains, where strong skiers and snowboarders in particular feel at home. Northern Escape has another highlight in store for guests on its Elite package: a luxurious private lodge in the middle of untouched wilderness. The elite package is a semi-private offer where up to ten winter sports enthusiasts share the helicopter. Two groups take off from the Northern Escape Mountain Lodge into the surrounding mountains. If the included altitude meters are not enough for you, you can book the Unlimited package and fly as long as light and safety permit. And if the helicopters are unable to take off due to heavy snowfall, you can simply switch to the "Cat". With the snowcat, which has been converted for passengers, you can explore the almost 30 square kilometer Catskiing area of Northern Escape with runs up to 600 meters in altitude. You'll have the most fun among the trees. It may not be heliskiing, but you'd rather be catskiing in the forest than having a "down day" with table football and table tennis in the lodge, wouldn't you?

The area is huge and the snow in the Skeena Mountains is incredibly deep. Some runs have an elevation gain of 2,000 meters. With the Elite package, Northern Escape adds a semi-private component to the freeride adventure. The modern Northern Escape Mountain Lodge is located between snow-covered mountains and frozen lakes on 20 hectares of private land. Despite its remoteness, you can reach the accommodation by helicopter from Terrace Airport in just 15 minutes. The ten single rooms with en-suite bathrooms are reserved for guests on the elite or private package. You can enjoy the panorama in the heated outdoor whirlpool and the gourmet dishes prepared by the Red Seal chefs at the table. A massage service can also be organized on request (for a fee).

It couldn't be quicker or more convenient. From Vancouver, you can fly to Terrace in just one and a half hours. The airport there is served several times a day and is open all the time. It is then another 15 minutes by helicopter to the lodge. We recommend planning an overnight stay in Terrace so that any delays do not affect your heliski trip.
The short distance between the airport and the lodge is a big plus, especially on the day of departure, as it allows you to powder for a whole day.
